Late Harvest – Pinot Gris
This wine, rich in aromas, with exceptional power and finish, comes from grapes full of sugar, harvested when over-ripe, 4 to 6 weeks after the vendanges (grape harvest), sometimes under the first snowfall.
Harmonious blend of several white grape varieties (Pinot, Riesling, Sylvaner, etc.).
Beautiful vivacity, very distinct first impression in the mouth. A lively and nervous wine which pleased by its freshness.
Light-bodied and palatable table wine, liked as an aperitif in Kir or even for cooking. To be served with quiches or summer salads.
3 – 4 years.
In 100 cl bottle
In the past, in the courtyards, when the winegrower filled his barrels, the overflow of juice was stored in a separate barrel. From that was born Alsace’s most famous blend.
