Late Harvest – Pinot Gris
This wine, rich in aromas, with exceptional power and finish, comes from grapes full of sugar, harvested when over-ripe, 4 to 6 weeks after the vendanges (grape harvest), sometimes under the first snowfall.
This wine for laying down is made from the Pinot noir grape variety and is aged in oak barrels.
It has a light tannin and woodiness with a typical fruitiness.
It goes well with red meats, game, charcuteries, goat’s cheese or Gruyère. Serve at room temperature.

Pinot noir is the only grape variety in Alsace that produces a red or rosé wine with a typical fruity taste reminiscent of cherries. It can be aged in oak barrels, which adds a more robust and complex structure to its aromas.
