Late harvest – Gewurztraminer
This wine comes from grapes full of sugar, harvested when over-ripe, 4 to 6 weeks after the vendanges (grape harvest), sometimes under the first snowfall.
The plot from which this wine is made is located on the ruins of the Meywhir castle (10th century), hence the name of this specific area: “Im Schloss”.
Full-bodied and robust, this wine develops fruity and spicy aromas that reveal a nice bouquet and fill the mouth.
Goes well with aperitifs, exotic cuisine, strong cheese and desserts.

This wine for laying down is made from the Pinot noir grape variety and is aged in oak barrels.
Mellow and delicate, it combines freshness with suppleness to represent a happy medium in the range of Alsace wines.
The famous hillsides of the Kaefferkopf give this wine its fresh, fruity character, with a very delicate bouquet and subtle acidity.
